Innovus Pharma announced the launch of FlutiCare OTC™ (fluticasone propionate; Innovus Pharma) nasal spray for temporary relief of seasonal and perennial nasal allergy symptoms (eg, congestion, runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose).
Specifically, it can be used to relieve both indoor and outdoor allergy symptoms caused by pollen, dust, animal dander, and other indoor and outdoor allergens.
FlutiCare OTC contains fluticasone propionate, a nasal corticosteroid, at the same prescription strength (50 mcg) per spray found in Flonase and ClariSpray. Corticosteroids have been shown to have a wide range of effects on multiple cell types (eg, mast cells, eosinophils, neutrophils, macrophages, lymphocytes) and mediators (eg, histamine, eicosanoids, leukotrienes, cytokines) involved in inflammation.
FlutiCare OTC is available as a 16 g bottle containing 120 metered sprays.
