OCuSOFT Inc. announced the availability of OCuSOFT Lid Scrub Allergy Eyelid Cleanser in pre-moistened pads for use in patients with allergic conditions.
OCuSOFT Lid Scrub Allergy Eyelid Cleanser is the latest addition to the Company’s OCuSOFT product line. Each pad contains green tea extract, tea tree oil, and PSG-2 (phytosphingosine).
Green tea extract and tea tree oil have been shown to have anti-allergenic and anti-inflammatory properties, respectively, while PSG-2 works by preventing loss of moisture from the skin; it also regulates epidermal cell growth, differentiation and apoptosis, and possesses bactericidal and anti-inflammatory properties.
By removing potential allergens and other contaminants from the eyelid, the product may reduce the risk of transfer into the tear film and help alleviate ocular symptoms associated with seasonal allergies.
The product is available in 30-count packages at CVS Pharmacies and online at ocusoft.com.
